The music heritage of the I.S.S.M. includes a considerable amount of non music material (essays, novels, teaching material), scores for lyric operas, chamber and individual instrument soloist repertoires (piano, guitar, violin, cello, double-bass, harp, harpsichord, organ, trumpet, trombone, horn); teaching works (methods and treatises), essays which are mainly musical and musicological, opera librettos, some rare performances from Pavia and some not, periodicals, printed editions, some of which only one copy remains, manuscripts, many of which are original, donated to the institute by several maestros who took over the running of the organisation (Emilio Neri, Franco Vittadini and Guido Farina).
