The Orchestra of the F. Vittadini Higher Institute of Music Studies was founded under a wide-ranging teaching project designed to provide education in collective music and gaining specific technical-interpretation skills.
The activities of the orchestra, which are based on the annual orchestra practice course, will be organised in a workshop format in order to prepare for the public performance of special programmes.
The repertoire will be as varied as possible in terms of period, language and genre (with theatre, oratorio and religious music included) under the guidance of various guest conductors.
The orchestra is open to entry from all schools in the area and offers orientation days.
